Pashupati Murarka President of FNCCI
Pashupati Murarka is a businessman who is unanimously selected as the new president of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry is the largest private sector umbrella body of Nepal. Murarka is a 17th president of Nepal Chambers of Commerce. Pashupati Murarka is working for 14 years in Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry. He also served as the senior vice president of the FNCCI which was led by Pradeep Jung Pandey. After Pradeep Jung Pandey had to leave the post of president then the general meeting which was held which elected Pashupati Murarka as the new chief. Murarka is actively involved in the business sector of Nepal. He is involved in trading business and financial sectors.
He has his own group named Murarka group which is involved in various sectors of Nepal. Murarka Group is currently involved in production of paints, steel, cement, vegetable ghee, edible oil, iron rod, angles, GI wire, HB wire, hydropower and banking.
Murarka, after being elected the chairman of FNCCI, said that his main priority would be the two pillar economy system which includes public and private as the fundamental economic principle in the new constitution. The current firs draft of the constitution has the three pillar economy policy which includes public, private and co-operatives. He has claimed that he will work hard to create a investment friendly environment in Nepal as far as possible.
