They are planning to wind up the production of rear wheel drive Commodore range in October. They also announced that there will be a new Commodore which will be launched in 2018. The output power of the vehicle is 635 horse power and the torque is 601 pound-feet. The SupaShock damping system is something unique in GTSR W1. These types of configuration is most popular in Australian super cars and various racing cars.
The GTSR W1 is claimed to be available in limited numbers. This time the number of available GTSR W1 will be just 3oo units. The GTSR are available with two type of configurations one is as explained as above and another is equipped with the LSA 6.2 litre supercharged V-8 fitted to the Camaro ZL1. The GTSR with this configuration has the output power of 583 hp and produces torque of 545 lb-ft. This version can be ordered with manual and automatic transmission both options available.
The sales of these models is only available in New Zealand and Australia. It is somehow a bad news for the people who are admirer of GTSR and Holden.
