Anuradha Koirala gets Padma Shri Awards From Indian Government current breaking news. Anuradha Koirala has got the Padma Shri Awards from India. It is her first award that is given by any foreign country. India provides Padma Shri to different foreigners who are doing good in their respective sector to help the humanity. Previously many foreigners are also awarded with the Padma Shri. Anuradha Koirala is social worker of Nepal who is actively involved to stop the girls trafficking from borders.
The news was confirmed by twitter account of Indian Embassy. Koirala is the only foreigner to get Padma Shri award in 2017. Padma Shri is considered as the fourth biggest civilian award.
Padma Shri is provided by government of India as the honor about the individuals who are contributing in different fields for the humanity. It is the fourth ranked award in India after Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhusan.
Anuradha Koirala is founder of Maiti Nepal and is actively working to help the victims of girls trafficking since 1993 in the borders of Nepal and India. Anuradha Koirala has rescued thousands of victims from trafficking.
